Venita Dimos is the Director and Principal of The Mediation Company Pty Ltd. She is registered as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney-General's Department and is an Accredited Mediator under NMAS. Venita is also a Certified Coach for the 'New Ways for Families - Parenting Without Conflict' Course. She is a Member of the Mediation Institute and on the Panel of Mediators for Interact Support.
Venita has been a lawyer since 1994, holding an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) since 1994 and BEc (Honours) (Bachelor of Economics) since 1992. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
Venita has had extensive experience in the legal industry, including holding senior positions in major Australian banking and financial institutions, ANZ and Aviva Australia (now MLC) as a Senior Corporate Laywer. She was responsible for advising, drafting and negotiating major corporate and information technology contracts, and advising on areas of banking and finance, privacy, dispute resolution, superannuation, insurance, products and investments.
She has also worked in private practice, including at multinational law firm Baker and McKenzie, specialising in project and structured finance in the fields of power, natural resources and telecommunications, electronic commerce and developing financial products for lenders.
